I absolutely love Ray Bradbury’s work. I have a few of his books and read them every so often. One of my favorites, is his series of collected short stories under the title The October Country. I’ve kicking around an idea for an illustration for a long a time when I suddenly had to come up with one on the fly for a class demo. Any of them would have worked well but I went with the second choice as it seemed to be the one that represented how I saw him as a writer. An author who was as much a part of the world as the characters he wrote about. This is the result and one that I’m actually pretty happy with.
